The vertical and horizontal gaps in the hard drive enclosure are intentionally included to accommodate hard drives of various sizes. To secure your hard drive in place, a small piece of cardboard not exceeding 3 cm x 3 cm for the required height can be used.
By placing this cardboard piece strategically within the enclosure, you can ensure a snug and secure fit for your hard drive, regardless of its dimensions. This simple and effective solution allows for customization and protection while maintaining compatibility with a range of hard drive sizes.”
If you dont plan on travelling with the enclosure and plan to move it upside down then this is not needed.
If the hard drive gets heated – the enclosure can be stored upside down or on its side, referencing the FAQ for Vertical and Horizontal gaps before tilting upside down. You can simply open the enclosure top for the same also. (Refer product image for more info)

Yes, the sleep setting on the enclosure can be adjusted by downloading the JMicron 578 firmware settings. More detailed information on this feature will be made available shortly. We are currently conducting further testing and configurations before releasing it for end users to try. For those with expertise in this area, you can explore the option by googling ‘JM578 sleep setting,’ but please be aware that you should use it at your own risk until the official release becomes available.
